Winter Cocktail Recipes
Warm up with these winter recipes from Walnut Creek mixologists.
Goat’s Delight

Ingredients:
Brandy, ounce ½, Merriam form organic Fresno
1 ounce of Orgeat syrup,
2 dashes absinthe,
2 dashes of orange bitters
1 dash of cream
Instructions:
Mix together, shake really hard, double filtered into cocktail glass and garnished with fresh nutmeg.
Ginger Man

Ingredients:
Two ounces, Basil Hayden bourbon
Several dashes, Peychaud’s bitters
Three medallions, fresh ginger
One half of lemon, ½ ounce
One half of agave nectar, ½ ounce
Instruction:
Muddle the ginger with bitter, pulverize it, add simple syrup, lemon and bourbon, add ice, stir vigorously, strain ingredients into Collins glass over ice, flaming orange peel.

Ingredients:
Bailey's Irish Cream
Jameson Irish Whiskey (two parts Jameson to one part Baileys)
Cinnamon, fresh ground
Nutmeg, fresh ground
Cloves, five
Instructions:
Add cloves and fresh ground cinnamon and nutmeg into mixing glass with whiskey and muddle together. Add Baileys with ice, shake vigorously for ten seconds, and strain through fine mesh strainer. Top with fresh shaved nutmeg and add cinnamon stick.
Armagnac Sidecar

Ingredients:
1.5 oz Armagnac (your preference)
.75 oz cointreau
1 whole lemon squeezed into glass
1 dash of simple syrup.
Instructions:
Mix all in a shaker and add ice. Shake and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a lemon slice and enjoy.
Cranberry-Ginger Smash

Ingredients:
3 thin slices fresh ginger (approx the size/thickness of a quarter coin)
10 Fresh Cranberries
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
3/4 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
1 1/2 oz. Bombay Gin
1 1/2 oz. Berentzen Apple Liqueur
Instructions:
Muddle cranberries and ginger with sugar in the bottom of a mixing glass
Add ice cubes
Shake very hard for 20 seconds
Strain into a large rocks or old-fashioned glass over crushed ice
Garnish with 1 Cranberry on a skewer and a piece of candied ginger
Spiced Pear Martini

Ingredients:
2 ounces vodka
1 ounce cranberry juice
1 ounce spiced simple syrup (recipe to follow)
2 table spoons pear puree (Perfect Puree)
Splash lemon juice
Shake and strain.
Spiced Simple Syrup
3 cups water
3 cups sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
5 cloves
2 oranges (zested)
2 star anise
Procedure:
Combine & simmer for 30 minutes.
Reserve all ingredients in syrup
