Twenty years after opening, this classic fine dining restaurant underwent a monthlong, door-to-door face-lift.
What to look for: Expect a contemporary “American Tavern” feel, expanded outdoor patio and bar area, and new menu of accessible souped-up pub fare.
Estimated opening: Late June.
Tri-Valley restaurateur Rodney Worth’s latest venture will be a combination cucina italiana—it’s his first Italian concept—and wine bar, serving California and Italian labels.
What to look for: The small menu will feature simple interpretations of antipasti, salads, panini, and flatbreads, using premium, mostly Italian ingredients.
Estimated opening: Early July.
Fresh from debuting Roti8 in the plaza last year, restaurateur Philip Yang is opening a new outpost of his popular Lafayette sushi eatery.
What to look for: Yang describes his new restaurant’s vibe and food as resting somewhere between the casual Lafayette Blue Gingko and his more upscale Sasa in Walnut Creek. Look for the outdoor bar and robata grill on the back patio.
Estimated opening: Late summer.
