Mountain of Support

New art show benefit to support Save Mount Diablo.

Mount Diablo Golden Morning by Zenaida Mottt

With Mount Diablo on the preliminary list of state parks facing closure, East Bay residents rallied to support one of our most beloved—and beautiful—recreation areas.

The BayWood Artists are pitching in, with a unique art-show benefit. The group of professional plein air painters is dedicated to protecting the lands they capture on canvas, and 50 percent of proceeds from their fall exhibition, Mount Diablo: As I See It, will be donated to nonprofit preservation group Save Mount Diablo. If there was ever a time for saving—it is now.

Mount Diablo: As I See It, October 24–November 21 at Bay Model Exhibition Gallery in Sausalito. Preview the paintings at Save Mount Diablo’s offices October 5–16 at 1901 Olympic Blvd., Ste. 220, Walnut Creek. For information, visit baywoodartists.com.
