Art of Glass

Unique blown glass works of art hand crafted by David Lindsay.

Published:

At Lindsay Art Glass in Benicia, just steps off First Street, you can peruse hand-blown bowls, vases, and lamps crafted by owner and artist David Lindsay and more than 40 other skilled artisans. Lindsay—who’s lent his talents to designing custom perfume bottles for Hillary Clinton, Communion pieces for Pope John Paul II, and paperweights for Ronald Reagan—draws his inspiration from shapes and movement found in nature. Stop by the gallery’s hot-glass studio Wednesday through Saturday during the day for a chance to see his skilled hands at work. 109 E. F St., Benicia, (707) 748-1336, lindsayartglass.com.

At David Lindsay’s studio in Benicia, Carl Spurgeon painstakingly heats, blows, and molds molten glass into delicate works of art.
