Jan Meere and The Internationals have been bringing a little bit of Munich to the Clayton Oktoberfest since its start in 2004.

Q: How do you recreate the Munich vibe?
A: Every year at the Oktoberfest [in Munich], there seems to be a hit song, so we try to pick that up and bring it back [to Clayton].

Q: How is the Clayton fest different from Oktoberfest in Munich?
A: The atmosphere is very similar, but Clayton is a little bit more family friendly. It’s probably one of the most fun, relaxing, and family-friendly Oktoberfests that we play.

Q: How much beer does the band drink during the Clayton festival?
A: Oh, I don’t think I can answer that. (Is a lot a safe number?) We’re certainly going through about six beers apiece each day, and these are the half-liter steins. October 3–4, claytonoktoberfest.com.
