This contemporary Mexican restaurant is located in the Hive, a mixed-use development and community-gathering place. Regional specialties with a modern twist are top notch, while the agave bar offers a world-class selection of mezcals and wildly imaginative margaritas, including the chillingly smoky and chile-spiked Mezcalera. We grazed on chile- and chocolate-braised goat, octopus ceviche, and mole chicken tacos served in fresh, authentic house-made tortillas. The whole-grilled snapper, charred with crisp skin and redolent of black garlic, is as juicy as fish can be, with just the faintest pink where flesh meets bone. And what better snack to go with those margaritas than some toasted grasshoppers—which taste like spicy dried chiles—served with a scoop of cold, chunky guacamole. Dinner daily.
