With its modern airy dining room, central bar, and expansive outdoor patio, this “next-chapter” CPK restaurant in its new location on South Main Street is a big improvement over the former Broadway Plaza locale. New dishes include a juicy rib eye, a flaky hearth-roasted halibut, and crispy garlic chicken. On our visits, a simple margherita pizza showcased flavorful San Marzano tomatoes on a well-charred thin crust, while a mushroom and spinach flatbread had good flavor and a hearty chew. Mahimahi tacos were cabbage-heavy but fresh tasting, and the generous California Cobb salad was well-balanced. Only the butternut squash faro under the halibut and the farmers market soup fell a little flat. Keep an eye out for the upcoming seasonal dishes. Lunch and dinner daily.
