This restaurant, tucked in a strip mall a few miles off trendy Main Street, is a treasure for Italian food lovers. The restaurant offers reasonably priced family favorites—from spaghetti and meatballs to veal scaloppine. The big booths create a homey atmosphere. Calamari fritti arrive piping hot and greaseless, salads are oversized and topped with Italian cheeses, and great sauces. We especially love the not-too-sweet marsala sauce for veal and his light, lemon-scented scampi-style sauce for prawns. Dinner specials include petrale sole and stuffed pork chops. You can even join a “call list” for seasonal cioppino and crab lasagna. Warm fresh-fruit cobbler makes a simply delicious dessert. Lunch Mon.–Fri., dinner Mon–Sat.
