Offering a menu of Mediterranean dishes dubbed “Italian fusion” that goes from koufta to Moroccan chicken to carbonara, Fiore goes for intense flavor throughout. The small restaurant, with its poster art and subdued lighting, is the best-looking business in the shopping center it calls home. Generously portioned entrees are bargains, ranging from $13.95 to $19.95; salads and desserts, however, are relatively more expensive at $4.95 to $10.95. An asparagus salad brought fennel, feta, and prosciutto into a complicated tapestry of flavors and textures, and the Moroccan chicken had a sweet spiciness flavoring the tender meat. A very garlicky penne marchigiana combined sun-dried tomatoes, broccoli, and chicken. A dessert special of custard-filled profiteroles was an old-school delight. The wine list is serviceable.
