Showcasing sweeping views of the Bay, this upscale bistro—the jewel of the Claremont Club and Spa’s transformation—has world-class potential. Our opening-night visit started with tidbits by Michelin-starred Wine Country chef Joseph Humphrey (The Restaurant at Meadowood, Auberge du Soleil): skewers of tiny Gulf shrimp, charred snap peas, and churrolike corn fritters. The distinctive canapé concept (three for $18) accents an eclectic wine and craft cocktail list designed for maximum enjoyment in Limewood’s classy lounge, or on the “come-at-sunset” deck. Seasonal entrées of sausage-stuffed lamb chop with a summery salad, grilled halibut with pole beans, and dual-ricotta agnolotti were expertly and meticulously prepared. Lunch and dinner daily.
