When it comes to Southern-style breakfasts and delicious house-made pies, it doesn’t get better than this. Lois’s son Chris Davis continues his late mother’s 50-year tradition of serving up “food that warms the soul,” including house favorites like the Reggie Jackson special, two fried pork chops served with two eggs and your choice of hash browns, grits, or rice. Pan-fried catfish and short ribs are Sunday specials, but any other day, don’t miss the fried chicken, the deviled egg sandwich, or a slice of the sweet-potato pie. The funky atmosphere is very ’60s, and the staff is welcoming and friendly. Breakfast and lunch daily.
