The strip mall that Mangia Bene inhabits looks like it was snapped together out of plastic. However, there is nothing artificial about the food at this little trattoria. The menu is extensive, and the flavors are clear and interesting. Starters include bruschetta, carpaccio, polenta, and grilled eggplant. Pastas range from a simple angel hair with fresh tomatoes, basil, and garlic to house-made fettuccine with marinated shrimp, chopped tomatoes, and arugula in a white-wine and saffron sauce. The restaurant also serves two chicken dishes, three veal entrées, and a New York steak. Lunch Mon.–Sat., dinner daily.
