What a choice spot: Request any song from dueling pianos on weekend nights, and have your way with a 40-plus-item menu. The American pub fare strikes just the right note: spicy shrimp with smooth jalapeño sauce; crispy fried chicken sandwich (get it stuffed with cole slaw); and great burgers galore—especially the deliciously sloppy “Sweet Home Alabama.” The side notes are particularly good: Check out the skinny garlic-truffle fries, or try the fresh and bountiful green salad. The talented Steel Rose band was rocking the pub on our Thursday night visit—making our $12 burger the best deal in town. Even the sports theme is the real deal: E.W. McGah helped found the Oakland Raiders. Lunch and dinner daily, late-night menu Thurs.–Sat.
