Across Broadway from the California College of the Arts, this Thai café stands out because of the fresh ingredients the chef brings back daily from Oakland’s Chinatown. The tung tong (plump bundles of curried potato and minced chicken wrapped in a rice-flour sheet and deep –fried) make a wonderful starter. Enjoy them in the tiny dining room or on the enclosed patio, where the noise from nearby Broadway is only a minor distraction. Lunch Mon.–Sat., dinner daily.
