Get Your Kicks

Published:

In a town where nearly 5,000 kids are on soccer teams, you’d better believe that opening day is a major celebration. On Saturday, September 10, Pleasanton’s annual soccer parade kicks off at 7:30 a.m., at the corner of St. Mary’s and Main streets. Kids up to 12 years old march to the Alameda County Fairgrounds Amphitheater, where trophies are awarded to the teams with the best costumes, banners, and parade style. Stick around to catch the first games of the season—the kicks begin at 9 a.m.
