Natalie Coughlin, you won five medals in swimming at the Athens Olympics! What are you going to do next? How about heading over to the Concord Hilton?
Forget Disneyworld. Concord native Coughlin will appear at Living Whole, Well and Wise,
a free conference that will offer a variety of sessions designed for
girls and women between the ages of 10 and 44. Coughlin will be a
keynote speaker, as will Chez Panisse’s Alice Waters, founder of the
Edible Schoolyard in Berkeley.
Workshops will cover such topics as preventing sports injuries, loving
the skin you’re in, the skinny on popular diets, the benefits of yoga,
and creating a home gym. There will be a sports fashion show as well.
The Living Whole, Well and Wise conference takes place Saturday, September 17, at the Concord Hilton, 1970 Diamond Blvd. Space is limited, and advance registration is recommended, www.kpwomenswellness.org .
