Stretch out your summer vacation by heading over to Livermore this Labor Day weekend for the 28th annual Harvest Wine Celebration. More than 40 wineries will be pouring during this two-day event, held Sunday and Monday, September 6 and 7.
New for 2009 is the Harvest Village at Robertson Park, where you can taste wines from 20 wineries in one spot, browse through arts and crafts booths, grab some local fare at food vendors, and relax on the lawn listening to live music. If you want to sip your wine in the tasting rooms, just hop on the complimentary shuttle (Sunday only) to visit another 20 wineries throughout the Livermore Valley.A two-day ticket costs $50 in advance and $75 at the event. You can purchase a Sunday-only ticket for $45 and a Monday-only ticket for $40. Nondrinking two-day tickets cost $10.
