(9/11) History buffs won’t want to miss a Walnut Creek appearance by New York Times best-selling author Jeff Shaara. The event commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, which is the setting for many of Shaara’s novels. wclibrary.org. Alameda Point Vintage Fashion Faire

Food and Wine
