Remember that dough you played with (and maybe ate) as a kid? In honor of National Play-Doh Day on September 16, Habitot Children’s Museum in Berkeley is inviting people to add their own homemade dough to its massive 200-pound ball. The multihued glittery ball is competing for the World’s Largest Homemade Play Dough Sculpture.

“Expanding learning through play is what we believe in,” says Toni Mikulka, marketing and development manager for Habitot. “The kids are contributing to something greater than themselves.”

On September 13, the museum is holding a playdough–making workshop, plus a sculpting contest, race to build the largest playdough tower, and competition for the most creative way to wear playdough. habitot.org.
