Eugene O’Neill Festival
(9/4–10/4) Panels and a play take over the Eugene O’Neill Foundation’s historic Tao House in Danville, including O’Neill’s Desire Under the Elms in the Old Barn. eugeneoneill.org.

Harvest Wine Celebration

Acrobats of China
(9/13) See the National Circus and Acrobats of the People’s Republic of China perform award-winning stunts—cycling, tumbling, balancing, and acrobatics—set to traditional music at Livermore’s Bankhead Theater. livermoreperformingarts.org.
Lafayette Art and Wine Festival
(9/19–20) The largest event in Lamorinda is back with artisan’s booths, food trucks, live music (including Steely Dan tribute band Aja Vu), and wines and microbrews. lafayettechamber.org.
