Forget the party bus, and ditch the limo—the coolest way to drink and ride is by bike. Oakland’s Velocipede Tours, which launched in May, is 100 percent engine-free and 100 percent fun: Beer is your gas, and your feet are the motor.
The bright blue 14-passenger bike starts its two-hour journey at Independent Brewing Company, a kitschy brewery and taproom covered in Warriors paraphernalia just minutes from Jack London Square. Enjoy a brew (or two) before setting out for Beer Revolution, The Trappist, and Heinold’s First and Last Chance Saloon on the waterfront.
For a workout, grab one of the 10 saddles with pedals. For an easier ride, two saddles and a rear bench are pedal-less. And don’t forget your playlist (the bike has a sweet sound system) and some snacks for the ride (because you’re working out, duh). $27.50, oaklandpedaltours.com.
